The Noble Shaykh ‘Abdullah an-Najmi (May Allah Preserve Him) from the mashaayikh of Jeezan, SaudiArabia will deliver a LIVE tele-lecture with Muwahhideen Publications on Friday 26th April 2013. The Shaykh is a student of Ash-Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmi (rahimahullah) and Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullah).
Allah says in His Book,
“O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones”
Regarding this verse, the following narrations were reported from the Salaf -
‘Ali Ibn Abi Taalib (radhiyAllahu ‘anhu): “Discipline them, teach them.”
Ibn ‘Abbaas (radhiyAllahu ‘anhum): “Stay obedient to Allah, stay away from disobeying Allah and command your families to remember Allah, and He will save you from the Fire.”
Mujaahid (rahimahullah): “Fear Allah and obey him (practice taqwa) and tell your families to practice taqwa.”
Qataadah (rahimahullah): “A person protects his family by telling them to obey Allah and forbidding them from disobeying Him. He upholds Allah’s commandments and helps his family to uphold them. So if you see some disobedience of Allah you stop them from doing it, and you reprimand them.” [Al-Tabarî, Al-Tafsîr, Sûrah Al-Tahrîm] [From SayingsoftheSalaf.net]
The Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Every one of you (people) is a shepherd. And every one is responsible for whatever falls under his responsibility. A man is like a shepherd of his own family, and he is responsible for them.”
So parents have a responsibility to teach their children the affairs of this religion; the most important being the matter of ‘Aqeedah as this is the foundation to all success and rectification.
Shaykh ‘Abdullah an-Najmi (hafidhahullah) will admonish us concerning this crucial topic and explain to us the extreme importance of teaching our children the correct ‘Aqeedah.
We ask Allah to guide us to His Straight Path and make us firm upon it and may He, Al-Haafidh protect us and our children from all evil.

Are the names Taha and Yasin from the names of the Prophet ﷺ?
Shaykh Sālih bin Fawzān Al-Fawzān:
That is with the ignorants. [In reality] Taha are separated letters. Taa, Haa (ط ها). Yaaseen are separated letters. Yaa Seen (ي س). Like Haa Meem( ح م), like Alif laam meem (أ ل م), like Taa Seen (ط س), Taa Seen Meem (ط س م). These are separate letters, but they [ignoramuses] made them into the names of the messenger ﷺ. The Prophet’s names are known and established and Taha and Yasin are not from them.

Muwahhideen Publications in conjunction with Masjid Anas Bin Malik is pleased to present a LIVE tele-lecture on Saturday 15th June 2013 with Ash-Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdullaah al-Imaam (May Allah Preserve Him) as part of this weekend’s conference entitled, “Teaching Our Children Tawheed”. The Shaykh supervises Markaz Dar-ul-Hadeeth in Ma’bar, Yemen and is one of the major scholars of our time, May Allah preserve him.
Allah says in His Book,
“O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones”[At-Tahrim: 6]
‘Ali Ibn Abi Taalib (radhiyAllahu ‘anhu) mentioned concerning this ayah, “Discipline them, teach them.”
Qataadah (rahimahullah) said, “A person protects his family by telling them to obey Allah and forbidding them from disobeying Him.
So parents must strive to cultivate their children upon Tawheed, which is foundation of this pure Deen.
According to Al-Allaamah, Al-Mujaddid, Ash-Shaykh Muhammad Naasir-ud-Deen al-Albaani (rahimahullah),
“The key to a return of the glory of Islaam is through the implementation of beneficial knowledge and establishing righteous and correct actions, and this is a very great affair which the Muslims cannot reach, except through the manhaj (methodology) of tasfiyah (purification and correction) and tarbiyah (education and cultivation).”
By tasfiyah, it is intended that the Islaamic ‘Aqeedah be purified from what is alien to it, the Islaamic Fiqh be purified from erroneous judgments which are contrary to the Qur’aan and Sunnah and that the books ofTafseer, Fiqh, Raqaa’iq and other than them be purified from the weak and fabricated ahadeeth.
With respect to tarbiyah, then it is to cultivate the young generation upon this purified Islaam and to provide them a correct Islaamic education free from any influence of the disbelieving western education. [Taken from troid.ca with some paraphrasing]
Our Shaykh Muhammad al-Imaam (hafidhahullah) will admonish us regarding this crucial topic and by the Permission of Allah we will realize the extreme importance of cultivating our children upon Tawheed and thus strive to implement the advices offered by the Shaykh.
We ask Allah to bestow upon us offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes and that He brings forth from our progeny those who will aid the Deen of Islaam and the Muslims.

The Shaykh opened his discussion with the words of the Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) defining success as being patient in the face of tribulation. He explained that happiness is found in avoiding fitnah (trials and tribulations) which he describes as the destroyer of hearts which in turn destroys one’s deen (religion). He then quoted the hadeeth that illustrates the effect that fitnah has on the hearts of mankind in that the heart either rejects the trial resulting in a white dot being placed on it or it becomes harmed by the trial resulting in a black dot being placed on it. The Shaykh appealed to us to be safe guarders of our deen and that of families against becoming victims of a hardened and blackened heart.
He then guided us to how to nurture our children to obtain a firm and white heart.
Firstly, he advised us to plant in our children’s hearts a love for Allah, His glorification, His Mightiness and His Power by showing them how these are exemplified in the visible signs of His creation. He went into depth offering numerous examples of such signs. He further directed us to demonstrate the Might of Allah in sustaining and preserving these great signs from disintegration and that natural disasters are a signal of Allaah’s reminder to His slaves that we are in need of Him.
Secondly, the Shaykh advised us to show them the obedience of Allah’s creation to Him with the most right being given to human beings.
Thirdly, he taught us to explain to our children Allah’s great qadr (decree), that everything that happens is preordained and written in a book 50,000 years before the creation of the Universe. Therefore we must teach the children that no one can inflict harm on anyone nor cause benefit to anyone except by the decree of Allahand that the qadr is unchangeable.
Fourthly, we must emphasis the purpose of our creation which is to worship and obey Allah. The Shaykh urged us to illustrate this as the path of success leading to a tremendous reward promised by Allah, planting in their hearts a growing desire and lust for obtaining this and consequently a dreadful fear for the fire.
The last advice offered by the Shaykh is to make them aware of the beautiful descriptions of jannah (paradise) which will aid in increasing their striving.
May Allaah grant us the tawfeeq (success) to practice the Qur’aan and Sunnah upon the understanding of the salaf us saalih in our lives and to raise our children upon that. And may Allah grant us good ending
Wa Billahi Tawfeeq
