By Shaykh Abdur-Rahman Al-Saa’dee (rahimallah)
Be Mindful Of Allaah
Benefits From The Hadeeth Of Ibn Abbaas
Abu Yusuf Khaleefah(hafidhahullaah)
Abdullah ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) said:
One day, I was behind the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) so he said to me: “O young man, I am going to teach you some words.
Be mindful of Allah, and He will protect you.
Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him facing you.
If you ask, then ask of Allah.
If you seek aid, then seek aid in Allah.
Know that if the entire Ummah were to gather in order to benefit you with something, they could not benefit you with anything except with that which Allah has written for you. And if the entire Ummah were to gather in order to harm you with something, they could not harm you with anything except with what Allah has written against you. The pen has been lifted and the pages have dried.”
[at-Tirmidhi - Stated as Hadith Hasan Sahih]
And in another narration of at-Tirmidhi:
Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you.
Become acquainted with Allah in prosperity and He will become acquainted with you in adversity.
Know that whatever surpassed you was not going to reach you, and whatever reached you was not going to surpass you.
Know that help comes with patience, relief with affliction, and hardship with ease.”

“Muhammad is no more than a Messenger, and indeed (many) Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels (as disbelievers)?” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:144]
“And We granted not to any human being immortality before you (O Muhammad); then if you die, would they live forever? [al-Anbiyaa’ 21:34]
“And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmeer (the thin membrane over the date stone). If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call; and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you” [Faatir 35:13-14]
