A beneficial reminder by Shaikh Abdullah Ibn ‘Uthmaan adh-Dhimaree hafidahullah regarding the Hadith of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudree, may Allaah be pleased with him. May Allaah make us that one person from every 1000 who will be saved from the hellfire.
Also note: An error in translation occurred at 03:17, it should instead say: “O you who brings satellite television (in your house)”
This Hadith is transmitted in the two Sahihs (Bukhari and Muslim) from Al-A’mash, after Abu Salih, after Abu Sa’ id Al-Khudri who narrated the Prophet (Peace be upon him) to have said:
“Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection), ‘O Adam!’ Adam will reply, ‘Labbaik wa Sa’daik, and all the good is in Your Hand.’ Allah will say: ‘Bring out the people of the fire.’ Adam will say: ‘O Allah! How many are the people of the Fire?’ Allah will reply: ‘From every one thousand, take out nine-hundred and ninety-nine.’ At that time children will become hoary headed, every pregnant female will have a miscarriage, and one will see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah.”
The Companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! Who is that (excepted) one?” He said, “Rejoice with glad tidings; one person will be from you and one thousand will be from Gog and Magog.”
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) further said, “By Him in Whose Hands my life is, hope that you will be one-fourth of the people of Paradise.” We shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” He added, “I hope that you will be one-third of the people of Paradise. We shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” He said, “I hope that you will be half of the people of Paradise.” We shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” He further said, “You (Muslims) (compared with non Muslims) are like a black hair in the skin of a white ox or like a white hair in the skin of a black ox (i.e. your number is very small as compared with theirs).”

The questioner says: May Allaah treat you well; what is the path that will lead me to Paradise, from amongst these methodologies, paths, and parties within the Islamic world?
The way out from that is to cling to the Book of Allaah with the correct understanding and to the Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ. He who does not have knowledge of that then let him go to the people of knowledge, ask them and benefit from them so that he may traverse upon the path of truth in the life of action (i.e. this worldly life), upon clear insight; in order that me may come to Allaah with the best provision.
Is there any advice to these groups?
The reality of Al-Islaam is not affirmed except with one Jamaa’ah; those who unites upon acknowledgement of the Truth, acting upon it, and calling to it. The Truth is that which has come within the Book of Allaah and the authentic Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ; likewise, that which the scholars who traverse upon the methodology of the Salaf propagate. For the Prophet ﷺ, when he mentioned the Hadeeth of Al-Iftiraaq (i.e. splitting of the Ummah) said:
“This Ummah will be divided into 73 groups; 72 in the Fire and one in Paradise.”
They (i.e. the companions) said: “Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah?” He ﷺ said:
What is intended by the Jamaa’ah is those who unite upon the truth; knowing it, acting upon it in all of their affairs, and calling the people to it; and holding fast to it until their Lord sends to them the certainty (i.e. death). He said on another occasion:
“The saved sect is the one upon the likes of which I and my companions are upon today.”
So he who is upon the guidance of the Book of Allaah and the authentic Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ then he is from the Jamaa’ah; even if he is only one individual, then he is the Jamaa’ah. All the praise is for Allaah; Allaah’s Messenger gave us glad tidings with his statement:
“There will not cease to be a group from my Ummah, victorious upon the truth. They will not be harmed by those who forsake them, nor by those who oppose them until the command of Allaah comes and whilst they are in that state.”
They are the Jamaa’ah. Cling to the Book and the Sunnah with the correct understanding. That which is other than that from the groups which oppose the beliefs and the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah, whether the opposition is a complete opposition or a partial opposition, each of them has deviated from the truth; whether that is a total deviation, like the people of Shirk and Kufr, or it is a deviation which is less than that, such as he who has fallen into innovation from the people of Al-Islaam and has brought harm upon himself and has harmed others. Such as the callers to the partisan groups in their various types from this group or that group. And this is not befitting for those whom Allaah the Mighty and Majestic has honored by (guiding them to) the Straight Path; the Magnificent Book and the Pure Sunnah. And Allaah knows best.

For Masjid ul Khaleefah Sister’s Camp 2012, “The Journey of The Muslimah: Her Life, Her Death and Hereafter,” Muwahhideen Publications has organized a LIVE telelink lecture with the noble Shaykh ‘Adil as-Sayyid (May Allaah Preserve Him), from the mashayikh of Egypt. The Shaykh is very highly recommended by Shaykh Hasan ibn Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (May Allaah preserve him) and was referred by him as a mufassir (explainer of The Quraan using the science of tafseer).

The Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “I looked at paradise and found poor people forming the majority of its inhabitants; and I looked at Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women.” (Bukhari). This is further explained in another hadeeth in saheeh al-Bukhariwhere he (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “They are ungrateful to their companions (husbands) and ungrateful for good treatment. If you are kind to one of them for a lifetime then she sees one (undesirable) thing in you, she will say, ‘I have never had anything good from you.'” This hadeeth is very often misunderstood by the muslimeen with weak eeman and no firmly grounded fundamentals. Many times it is misquoted by the enemies of Islaam in their feeble attempts to attack and degrade the social and moral fiber of this beautiful, complete and perfect religion. It is also very unfortunate that even so-called muslim contemporary scholars, modernists and orientalists have wrongly interpreted and explained this narration, in such a way as to add fuel to the enemies of Islaam. Our Shaykh , the mufassir (explainer of the Quraan) will expound on this narration, bringing forth the correct explainations within the framework of theQuraan and Sunnah upon the understanding of the salaf us saalih (righteous predecessors). inshaaAllaah ta’alaa.
The Heat of the Summer is a Reminder of the Hellfire

[MP3 Arabic – English]
In very hot weather, delay the Dhuhr till it becomes (a bit) cooler because the severity of the heat is from the raging of Hell-Fire.The hell-Fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating (destroying) one another. So Allaah allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severist heat and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold. [al-Bukharee] …
It is amazing. Then, it is amazing. Then, again, it is amazing that we know about the hellfire, and that we know about the Paradise. But where is the longing for the Paradise, and where is the fear (and desire to stay away) from the Hellfire? We ask Allaah ‘Azza Wa Jall that He awaken our hearts and that He rectify our souls, and that He make us from His slaves who take heed and have insight. And that He give us understanding of His religion and that He give us insight of His legislation. And that He take us by our forelock, and lead us to every good. …
Some of the Salaf said: How strange is the person who would protect himself from the heat of the summer in this life [but] not protect himself from the heat of the hellfire by staying away from sins? …
One of the Salaf reflected upon this great calamity that will occur [people being entered into the hellfire] and he said a tremendous statement: We looked into this affair, and we found that it is easier to be patient upon the obedience of Allaah in this wordly life than to trying to be patient regarding the hellfire on the Day of Judgement. …
