The sovereignty on that Day will be the true (sovereignty), belonging to the Most Beneficent (Allâh), and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allâh Islâmic Monotheism). (Al-Furqan 25:26)

The Two Resurrections After Death
Shaykh Ubayd al-Jaabiree (hafidhahullaah)

The minor resurrection which is the stupor of death and that it came with the truth which is meeting with Allah, the Exalted and the soul will be brought to judgment and will have its reward or punishment which will be advanced to it before the major Day of Resurrection. Then He mentioned the major Resurrection as He, the Almighty says, وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ which means, “And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).” [ القرآن الكريم The Noble Qur’aan, سورة ق Soorah Qaaf 050, Verse 020]

A beneficial reminder by Shaikh Abdullah Ibn ‘Uthmaan adh-Dhimaree hafidahullah regarding the Hadith of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudree, may Allaah be pleased with him. May Allaah make us that one person from every 1000 who will be saved from the hellfire.
Also note: An error in translation occurred at 03:17, it should instead say: “O you who brings satellite television (in your house)”
This Hadith is transmitted in the two Sahihs (Bukhari and Muslim) from Al-A’mash, after Abu Salih, after Abu Sa’ id Al-Khudri who narrated the Prophet (Peace be upon him) to have said:
“Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection), ‘O Adam!’ Adam will reply, ‘Labbaik wa Sa’daik, and all the good is in Your Hand.’ Allah will say: ‘Bring out the people of the fire.’ Adam will say: ‘O Allah! How many are the people of the Fire?’ Allah will reply: ‘From every one thousand, take out nine-hundred and ninety-nine.’ At that time children will become hoary headed, every pregnant female will have a miscarriage, and one will see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah.”
The Companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) asked, “O Allah’s Messenger! Who is that (excepted) one?” He said, “Rejoice with glad tidings; one person will be from you and one thousand will be from Gog and Magog.”
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) further said, “By Him in Whose Hands my life is, hope that you will be one-fourth of the people of Paradise.” We shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” He added, “I hope that you will be one-third of the people of Paradise. We shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” He said, “I hope that you will be half of the people of Paradise.” We shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” He further said, “You (Muslims) (compared with non Muslims) are like a black hair in the skin of a white ox or like a white hair in the skin of a black ox (i.e. your number is very small as compared with theirs).”

An Explanation of The Ahadeeth of The Hawdh of The Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
Shaykh ‘Abdullaah al-Hadaad (hafidhahullaah)
Shaykh ‘Abdullaah al-Hadaad is a student of Ash-Shaykh Al-Allaamah Al-Muhaddith, The Imaam of Yemen, Shaykh Abu ‘Abdur Rahmaan Muqbil Ibn Hadee al-Waadi’ee (rahimahullaah) and is currently the Imaam of Masjid Siddeeq in Dhimaar, Yemen.
Introducing the topic, Shaykh ‘Abdullaah (hafidhahullaah) explained that linguistically, a hawdh is a place where water gathers and it is the place from which the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) will allow his nation to drink on Yawmul Qiyaamah (The Day of Resurrection). There is ijmaa’ (consensus) amongst ahlul haqq (the people of the truth) regarding the hawdh and according to Al-Haafidh As-Suyooti (rahimahullaah), the mention of the hawdh has come from over fifty companions, including the four rightly guided caliphs, the prolific narrators of ahadeeth from the companions and other than them. He went on to say that despite the wealth of ahadeeth affirming the hawdh, there are those who deny its existence and thus it is befitting that they be prevented from drinking from it.
Next, the Shaykh provided us with an abundance of narrations from various books of hadeeth about thehawdh, its description and the events that will take place at it in addition to the statements of the scholars of the past concerning it.
From its description:
- It is massive
- It is a noble place to drink from
- The one who drinks from it will never be thirsty again
- It is supplied directly from the river Kawthar in Jannah
- It is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, cooler than snow and more pleasant to smell than misk
- Its chalices are more numerous than the stars in the sky
- Its length and width is equal
- Every time you drink from it, it will only increase what is in it
- In it are growing trunks of gold, musk and pearls which will bear fruit of all types of jewels
Shaykh ‘Abdullaah al-Hadaad (hafidhahullaah) further discussed the positions of Ahlul ‘Ilm (The People of Knowledge) on the order in which events will occur regarding the hawdh, the siraat and the mizaan. He then proceeded to narrate numerous ahadeeth about those who will be prevented from drinking from the hawdh of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) on the day of the greatest thirst.
Those who will be prevented from drinking from the hawdh include:
- Those who lie upon Allaah and His Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
- Those who innovate in the deen from the rawaafidh, khawaarij and the rest of ahlul bid’ah wal ahwaa (the people of innovation and desires)
- Those who are extreme in dhulm (oppression)
- Those who blot out the truth
- Those who are lackadaisical in the amount of sin and transgression they commit
- Those who sinned publicly
It was authentically reported that the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) stated:
“Certain people will be driven away from my Hawdh (the Prophet’s Basin in the Hereafter) on the Day of Judgment and I will say: “O my Lord, my Ummah my Ummah (another version reads: and I will say: My Companions, my Companions). It will be said (to me): “You do not know what they did after you (died). They continued deviating from the right path since you left them.”

This is merely a brief summary of the immense benefits contained in this highly informative lecture. All are encouraged to listen to it in order to become acquainted with the belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa’ahconcerning this significant affair.
We ask Allaah to make us from those who drink from the hawdh of the Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and we seek refuge in Him from being prevented from doing so on that severe day.

Narrated ‘A`ishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “An army will raid the Ka`bah and when it reaches a desert land, all of them will be swallowed up by the earth.” She asked; “O Messenger of Allah! Why all of them?” He answered, “All of them will be swallowed by the earth but they will be raised for Judgement according to their intentions.”

Oh Mankind! Indeed You are Returning to your Lord!

Khutbah from Friday, February 24, 2012
Based on Sheikh Muhammad ibn al-Uthaymeen‘s tafseer of selected ayaat in Surat al-Inshiqaaq
O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did).
Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand,
He surely will receive an easy reckoning,
And will return to his family in joy.
But whosoever is given his Record behind his back,
He will invoke (his) destruction,
And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning.
Verily, he was among his people in joy!
Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)!

Shaded By Allaah’s Shade
Abu Uways (rahimahullaah) [Mp3|En]

A bold khutbah describing those who will be under Allaah’s Shade on the Day there will be no shade except His shade.
As we approach summer, the temperature rises and the heat becomes increasingly unbearable day-by-day. Then reflect, O brothers and sisters, on the day on which the sun will be brought close. On this day, there will be no shade except for those provided with Allaah’s Shade. Our Messenger, may Allaah raise his rank and grant him peace, has indeed described this successful group in a narration found in the Saheehayn on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him. In a past khutbah, from many summers ago, our brother, Abu Uways, may Allaah have mercy on him, presents these descriptions in a strong admonition. Listen to this audio, may Allaah reward you, so in shaa’ allaah, you could be from this group.
Some additional notes:
The Prophet said:
There are seven whom Allah ill shade in His Shade on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade: a just ruler; a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; a man whose heart is attached to the mosques; two men who love each other for Allah’s sake, meeting for that and parting upon that; a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position [for illegal intercourse], but be says: ‘I fear Allah’, a man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity; and a man who remembered Allah in private and so his eyes shed tears.‘
Narrated by Abu Hurairah & collected in Sahih al-Bukhari (english trans.) vol.1, p.356, no.629 & Sahih Muslim english trans.) vol.2, p.493, no.2248
‘On the Day of Resurrection, the sun would draw so close to the people that there would be left a distance of only one mile. The people will be submerged in perspiration according to their deeds, some up to their ankles, some up to their knees, some up to the waist and some would have the bridle of perspiration and, while saying this, the Messenger of Allah put his hand towards his mouth.’
Narrated by al Miqdad ibn Aswad & collected in Sahih Muslim (eng. trans) vol.4, p.1487-8, no. 6852}
This lecture was given on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Masjid at-Tawheed and is based on a lecture of our Noble Sheikh, Dr Saaleh al-Fawzaan regarding the preparations for the Day in which we will each stand in front of our Lord.
We prepare for many things in life; a new job, moving, a visitor coming… even just to leave the house, we prepare. So what preparations are we making for the Hereafter?
