Imaam Maalik Ibn Anas (d.159H) – May Allah haver Mercy on him – said, “Whosoever introduces into Islaam an innovation, and holds it to be something good, has indeed alleged that Muhammad (sallalahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) has betrayed the message. Read the saying of Allaah – the Most Blessed, the Most High,
الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الإِسْلاَمَ دِينًاThis day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion. (Al-Ma’idah 5:3)
So that which was not part of the Religion at that time, cannot be part of the Religion today. And the last part of this Ummah cannot be rectified, except by that which rectified its first part.”

Allah has instructed us: “O you who believe, save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is men and stones.” [Surah At-Tahreem 66:6]
And the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa salaam) said: “Each of you is a shepherd and responsible for his flock…” Reported by, Al-Bukharee (2554), Muslim (1829) Ahmad in al Musnad (4495).
It is therefore the duty of every parent and educator to instill the proper Tarbiyyah(education and upbringing/cultivation) in our children regarding every aspect of their lives in order to please Allah and to provide the children with a strong foundation.
