Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said,
“Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is unable to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest form of Faith”. [Muslim].
Nu`man bin Bashir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said,
“The likeness of the man who observes the limits prescribed by Allah and that of the man who transgresses them is like the people who get on board a ship after casting lots. Some of them are in its lower deck and some of them in its upper (deck). Those who are in its lower (deck), when they require water, go to the occupants of the upper deck, and say to them : `If we make a hole in the bottom of the ship, we shall not harm you.’ If they (the occupants of the upper deck) leave them to carry out their design they all will be drowned. But if they do not let them go ahead (with their plan), all of them will remain safe”. [Al-Bukhari].
Allah, the Exalted, says:
“Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma`ruf (i.e., Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful.’‘ (3:104)
“The believers, men and women, are Auliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another; they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma`ruf (i.e., Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e., polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden)”. (9:71)
“Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawud (David) and `Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allah and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds. They used not to forbid one another from the Munkar (wrong, evildoing, sins, polytheism, disbelief) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do”. (5:78,79)

Advise with benefits from the book entitled: The Characteristics of the Party of Shaitain, the Loosers – by Shaykh Zayd Al Madkhali (hafidhahullaah)

An old Arab poet has stated, taking his meaning from an authentic hadeeth:
“I learned evil not for the sake of evil, but to avoid it
And whoever doesn’t know good from evil, he will fall into it.”This is derived from a hadeeth – and I mean by it, the hadeeth of Hudhaifah Ibn Al-Yamaan, radyAllaahu ‘anhumaa, which is reported in the Saheehs of Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim. He, radyAllaahu ‘anhumaa, said: “The people used to ask Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, about the good, but I used to ask him about the evil for fear of it reaching me.”
[Shaykh al-Albanee - Al-Asaalah, Issue #18]
Some The Characteristics of the Party of Shaitain, the Loosers :
Ayah Quoted in Lecture:
1. Enjoining Evil and forbidding Good
The hypocrites, men and women, are from one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief and polytheism of all kinds and all that Islâm has forbidden), and forbid (people) from Al-Ma’rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm orders one to do), and they close their hands [from giving (spending in Allâh's Cause) alms, etc.]. They have forgotten Allâh, so He has forgotten them. Verily, the hypocrites are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh). [Surah at-Toubah 9:67]
2. Al-Hasad (envy/jealousy) & Arrogance (kibr)
“Do they envy men for what Allah has given them of His Bounty?” [Soorah an-Nisa (4): 54]
The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) warned against envy by comparing it to fire that completely burns the wood. He (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) said: “Beware of jealousy (envy /hasad), for verily it destroys good deeds the way fire destroys wood.” [Abu Dawood]
“Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn from the evil of envious when he envies.” [Soorah al-Falaq (113): 1]
It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No one who has an atom’s-weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.” [Abu Dawood]
Is there not in Hell an abode for the arrogant ones? (Surah az-Zumar 39:60)
“Verily, those who like that (the crime of) illegal sexual intercourse should be propagated among those who believe, they will have a painful torment in this world and in the Hereafter.” (An-Noor 24:19)
4. Openly displaying enmity for the believers
Allah said, `Whoever takes a friend of Mine as an enemy, will have started a war with Me”. (Saheeh al-Bukhari and others)
5. Inventing Lies against Allaah
“Say: ‘Verily, those who invent a lie against Allah will never be successful‘” [Yunus 10:69]
“And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: “This is lawful and this is forbidden,” so as to invent lies against Allâh. Verily, those who invent lies against Allâh will never prosper. A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment.” (Surah an-Nahl 16:117-118)
6. Turning away from the religion of al-Islam ( by NOT learning it / knowing it / act upon it)
36. And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allâh) (i.e. this Qur’ân and worship of Allâh), We appoint for him Shaitân (Satan devil) to be a Qarîn (an intimate companion) to him.
37. And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allâh), but they think that they are guided aright!
38. Till, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says [to his Qarîn (Satan / devil companion)] “Would that between me and you were the distance of the two easts (or the east and west)” a worst (type of) companion (indeed)! [ al-Zukruf 43: 36-38]
“But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur’ân nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection.” (Surah Taaha 20:124)
7. Following the Desires and People of Desires
“Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilâh (god), and Allâh knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allâh? Will you not then remember?” [ Surah al-Jaathiyah 45:23]
8. To argue with falsehood and spreading corruption in the land
“And of mankind there is he whose speech may please you (O Muhammad ), in this worldly life, and he calls Allâh to witness as to that which is in his heart, yet he is the most quarrelsome of the opponents.
And when he turns away (from you “O Muhammad “), his effort in the land is to make mischief therein and to destroy the crops and the cattle, and Allâh likes not mischief.
And when it is said to him, “Fear Allâh”, he is led by arrogance to (more) crime. So enough for him is Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest!” [Surah al-Baqarah 2:204-206]
9. To make fun of the Religion of Islam and its People
“If you ask them (about this), they declare: “We were only talking idly and joking.” Say: “Was it at Allâh (ÚÒ æ Ìá), and His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger () that you were mocking?”
Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after you had believed. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others amongst you because they were Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.).” [Surah at-Toubah 9:65-66]

It is the weapon of the believer as is reported by al-Haakim in his ‘Mustadrak’ from the hadeeth of Alee bin Abee Taalib (radhi Allaahu anhu) from the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) that he said, “supplication is the weapon of the believer, the pillar of the religion, and the light of the heaven and earth.”
Allah, the Exalted, says:
And your Rubb said: `Invoke Me, [i.e., believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation) (40:60)
Invoke your Rubb with humility and in secret. He likes not the aggressors (7:55)
And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam)) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor) (2:186)
Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls on Him, and Who removes the evil? (27:62)

Some notes from me (AbdurRahman Meda) useful to understand the context of the audio :
From Imam Ibn al Qayyim :
The foundation of sins, the small of them and the great, is three:
- Shirk, associating partners with Allah (Subhana wa ta’aala), which is the heart’s attachment to other than Allah (Subhana wa ta’aala).
- Dhulm, oppression and injustice, which is from obeying the furious rage in the hearts.
- Fawahish, indecency and illicit acts, which is from the strong desires and lusts.
The height of Shirk is to worship others besides Allah (Subhana wa ta’aala). The height of rage is killing. The height of lusts is fornicating. This is why Allah (Subhana wa ta’aala) has combined these three in one ayah (verse),
“And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.” (Qur’an, 25:68)
These sins lead to each other. Associating partners with Allah (shirk) leads to oppression and injustice (dhulm) and immorality (fawahish), just as sincerity (ikhlas) and Oneness of Allah (tawheed) wipes them out. Allah (Subhana wa ta’aala) says,
“…And thus [it was] that We should avert from him evil and immorality. Indeed, he was of Our chosen servants.”(Qur’an, 12:24)
Likewise, oppression and injustice leads to associating partners with Allah and immorality. Associating partners with Allah is the most unjust of injustices just as worshiping Allah Alone is the most just of justice. So justice accompanies the Oneness of Allah and oppression accompanies associating partners with Allah.

In this lecture Sheikh Rabee’ is quoted saying:
You never saw any of the salaf going to the people of bidah to teach them.
This and many other issues regarding how to avoid jeopardizing our paradise (including boycotting innovators, to what extent and why) are clarified in this audio
Also, what about scholars going to a masajid to refute the innovators? Is that an excuse to go give da’wa to the innovators? Shaykh Ahmed Bazmool explains this.
