Hajj is an act of worship that must be devoted only to Allaah. It is a declaration and a manifestation of the belief in the Oneness (tawheed) of Allaah. It is a time to call upon Allaah to purify the self from any worship to other than Him.
The Muslim who declares the talbiyah: (Labbaika allaahumma labbaik. labbaika laa shareeka laka labbaik; innal-hamda wan-ni’mata laka wal mulk, laa shareeka lak) understands that it is a du’aa that means: “Here I am O Allaah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Surely all praise is due to You, and every bounty is from You, and all dominion is Yours, and You have no partner.”
The Muslim, therefore, should submit himself completely (mentally, spiritually, and physically) to Allaah Alone. No worship should be devoted to statues, tombs, religious leaders, righteous men (dead or alive) or any part of the creation!
The tawheed of Allaah requires the Muslim to follow the perfect way of worship. This is the way (sunnah) of Muhammad sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam as understood by the sahaabah (the companions of the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam), who were the best of mankind.

Today’s (12/09/14) amazing khutbah at Masjid as-Salafi. In a time wherein every individual worries regarding their sustenance, their wealth, many turn to that which is haram (forbidden) to attain their income. Abu Hakeem speaks with clarity, citing Qur’anic verses and Prophetic narrations to leave no doubt that “Death will not arrive until your sustenance is completed.”

What has been written for you of the sustenance will surely come to you before your death, even if you tried to flee from it and lock yourselves in a fortress:
“Even if the son of Aadam were to flee from his sustenance as he tries to flee from death, his sustenance will still overtake him in the same way as death overtakes him.”
[al-Hilyah (7/90) and graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (952)]

Lecture series from 2002, at the time that Masjid as-Salafi was opened in Birmingham, UK. Abu Hakeem read from ‘المسجد في الإسلام أحكامه آدابه بدعه’ of Khair Udeen Wanalee. He also brings many benefits from other works of the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah.
A truly beneficial series of lectures discussing the rulings of the Masjid, mannerisms related to it and acts of innovation that are now widespread within the masajid.

Mu’adh (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) took hold of my hand and said:
“O Mu’adh! By Allah I love you, so I advise you to never forget to recite after every prayer:
Allahumma a’innee alaa dhikrika, wa shukrika, wa husni ‘ibaadatika
(O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner).”
This Hadith stresses the fact that one should seek the Help of Allah for His remembrance, thanksgiving and worship, because one cannot do anything without His Help and Support. It also shows the superiority of Mu’adh (May Allah be pleased with him) and the Prophet’s love for him.
Riyad-us-Saleheen Hadith No. 1422.
