In the name of Allaah, ar-Rahmaan, ar-Raheem

The importance of good manners, morals and behaviour are very much emphasised in the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), however what does it mean to have “good manners” in the Islamic sense? Is it to be kind to people, to have good business dealings alone or does it have a comprehensive meaning that is deeply rooted in ‘Aqeedah and the implementation of tawheed. What about the claim that the salafees are the poorest of the people in their manners and behaviour? In the following tawheed class, our brother, Abul-’Abbaas Moosaa Richardson, touches on this topic briefly. For detailed study, we recommend Upright Moral Character by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-’Uthaymeen.
